Zombie Awareness Month: Week 1 Wrap Up

6 05 2012

I’ll be perfectly honest, Week #1 of Zombie Awareness Month found me having trouble focusing on the dark future of the eventual apocalypse. I left for vacation last Saturday and my blog has basically been flying on it’s own for the first week of this event. Instead of worrying about fortifying my zombie proof bunker, or figuring out the best route of escape from the suburban deathtrap I live in, I spent my time playing hide and seek with my niece and nephews as well as a few rousing gamed of dominoes with my brother and sister-in-law in Huntsville, Alabama. Let’s face it, does this look like a guy worried about the cannibalistic undead?

I think not.

While my mind was off celebrating life instead of focusing on darkness and death, May is Zombie Awareness month is off to a rousing start. The following is what has happened here at the Guilded Earlobe for the past 5 days, as well as across the net. And remember, friends don’t let friend eat their friends. Be safe, stay alert, and if all else fails, marinate. The zombie eating your flesh will thank you.

And don’t forget that this week’s episode of Table Top on Geek and Sundry featured, among other games, Zombie Dice. I thought it looked so much fun I had my wife pick up the game and we had fun playing it tonight.
